This page exists as an effort to dispel any assumptions or false ideas that the reader might accidentally make about our late friend, Lee White. I mention him, and the fact that he passed-away, in several trip reports. I want it to be abundantly clear that Lee was not killed in cave, or doing anything even remotely related to caving.
He was killed on I-40 while commuting to a jobsite when a driver in the adjacent lane sideswiped his Jeep. As-of December 2019, the driver who killed Lee has not seen a day of jail time despite missing his initial court hearing.
There is a hell of a lot that can be said about Lee, but for right now I think it is better to simply say that we deeply miss our friend.
